How about that? CAIR is comming out with a handbook to basicly let us know where we are "misunderstanding" Islam and muslims and i can only guess how we take thier "culture",which i am also guesing would be "out of context." Please oh masters of bridge buidling do tell. INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY Islam For Dummies Posted 12/20/2007 Islamofascism: The Council on American-Islamic Relations has published a media guide to proper reporting on Islamic issues. It's pure propaganda, designed to whitewash the radical Islamist threat.* Washington-based CAIR is calling on Muslims to sponsor copies of the $20 guide for local media "to help improve coverage of Islam in the American news media." CAIR, which seeks to mainstream Islam in America, is worried about polls showing a majority of Americans associating Islam with violence and intolerance. Its propaganda campaign, backed by Arab governments tied to 9/11, isn't working. It's sad commentary when you can't get better press from today's newsrooms, which are already so culturally sensitive they won't even publish newsworthy cartoons for fear of offending Muslims. "CAIR's new guide offers journalists the tools needed to gain a better understanding of Islam and to write accurate and balanced stories about Muslims," the press release said. It asserts that "common misperceptions in the media include the notion that Islam is not compatible with democracy or modern culture; that the Quran teaches violence; that Muslims around the world hate the U.S.; that Islam does not respect women's rights; and that all Muslims are Arab." At least CAIR got the last one right. Muslims are also Asian and African. Which means it's batting .200 in the accuracy department. CAIR, recently named an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal terror case, says news stories since 9/11 have perpetuated negative stereotypes about Muslims. It hasn't been hard to do. "Islamophobes" weren't the only ones repulsed by the story of an Islamic court sentencing a Saudi rape victim to 200 lashes for violating Shariah law, which CAIR's leaders are on record hoping will one day replace the Constitution. Or the Muslim father who strangled his daughter to death in Canada for refusing to wear her veil. Or the young Muslim who drove an SUV into a crowd of University of North Carolina students, explaining later to a judge: "Allah demands of believers to retaliate violently against persons responsible for attacking them or their fellow believers around the world. (Quran 2:178-179, 5:45, 8:72, 9:38, 9:71, 42:39-42, 49:10)." Nor did critics of Islam misquote the Ayatollah Khomeini when he bellowed: "Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! There are hundreds of other (Quranic) psalms and Hadiths (sayings of the Muslim prophet Muhammad) urging Muslims to value war and to fight." Desperate to sugarcoat such ugly truths, CAIR hopes journos will use "Beyond Stereotypes" just like a stylebook. What the media could really use is a guide to CAIR's own questionable agenda. http://www.investors.com/editorial/editorialcontent.asp?secid=1501&status=article&id=283046185233540
What's in a name? Oblivion, thats what. The Multicultural and Politicaly Correct Jihad that Crocodile food fatten themselves up with. They feast on the Multicultural poison and guzzle the Politicaly Correct wine. They stagger ever closer to the crocodiles mouth, sleepy by the warmth of it's breath, they awaken only to the nightmare that they have put thier own heads inside the Crocodiles Jaws just in time to hear the crunch. All the while the polishers who think they can escape thier dinner date with the beast work over time to keep the line going and full to appease the beast again only to discover soon enough that none shall escape the justice of the Crocodile for the Crocodile is such a beast that in the end it will even feast upon itself. 'Mohammed to be no.1 name in England, Wales' The name Mohammed is expected to become the most popular name in England and Wales by 2008, the Daily Telegraph reported on Thursday. The name, according to the report, was second only to Jack in 2007, which has been top for the last 13 years. 6,772 boys were called Jack and 6,387 were called Mohammed or a variant. "High birth rate among Muslim families" is the reason cited by the report for how Mohammed will be the most popular boy's name by next year. Although Mohammed was ranked 17th, the name's position would be numbered second if all 14 variant spellings of the name were taken into account. The Telegraph found that of the 3,009 babies called Mohammed, the most popular spelling was Muhammad (1,595), followed by 903 Mohammads, 429 Muhammeds, 349 Mohameds, 39 Mohamads, 12 Muhameds, 11 Mohammods, nine Mohmmeds, eight Mohamuds, seven Mahammeds, six Muhammeets, five Mohmmads and five Muhammods. Muhammad Anwar, professor of ethnic relations at Warwick University, was quoted by the newspaper as saying: "Muslim parents like to have something that shows a link with their religion or with the Prophet." Muslims account for 3% of the British population, which amounts to approximately 1.5 million people. No comment. More like just a moment of silence as there will probably be many in the future. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1196847392276&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull
| More good stuff from ACT (American Congress for Truth ) Hezbollah: Signs of a Sophisticated Intelligence Apparatus This Stratfor terrorism report reveals a compelling, chilling example of Cultural Jihad at work in America. Cultural Jihad is Jihad by means other than violent ones, whose purpose is to weaken and undermine a culture from within in order to eventually make that culture ripe for Islamic subjugation. Cultural Jihad is well-advanced in countries in Western Europe (see Londonistan, by Melanie Phillips) and books such as Infiltration by Paul Sperry document the degree to which Cultural Jihad is underway in America. The lesson for all of us is this – Islamofascism is about much more than overt acts of terrorism. By Fred Burton and Scott Stewart On Dec. 4, Samar Spinelli, a U.S. Marine captain, pleaded guilty in U.S. district court in Detroit to conspiring to commit citizenship and passport fraud. By pleading guilty, Spinelli admitted to having conspired with her former roommate, Nada Nadim Prouty, to fraudulently obtain U.S. citizenship. Prouty, a former FBI agent and CIA case officer, pleaded guilty in the same court in November to accessing a federal computer system to obtain information about the Lebanese-based militant group Hezbollah and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, among other charges. Spinelli's other former roommate, Elfat El Aouar -- Prouty's sister -- is serving an 18-month prison sentence for tax evasion. All three women were born in Lebanon. The evidence, allegations and related cases suggest that Hezbollah has established a sophisticated intelligence apparatus that reaches into the United States. [emphasis added]. Moreover, it is possible -- though certainly not proven -- that Spinelli and Prouty used their positions in government agencies to provide Hezbollah with sensitive information. If these women were indeed Hezbollah plants, the magnitude of the information they provided to Hezbollah and Iran could be similar in importance to the information Robert Hanssen provided to the Soviets and Russians -- and the damage could prove to be just as great. The Web Although the network of interpersonal relations and sham marriages muddle the story, the evidence appears as follows: One of the three former roommates, El Aouar, is married to fugitive Talal Chahine, an alleged Hezbollah financial operative who is believed to be hiding in Lebanon. Chahine was charged in 2006 in the Eastern District of Michigan with tax evasion in connection with a scheme to conceal more than $20 million in cash received by a chain of restaurants he owns and routing those funds to "persons in Lebanon." In October 2007, Chahine, along with a senior Immigrations and Customs Enforcement official in Detroit and several other people, was charged in a bribery and extortion conspiracy in which federal immigration benefits allegedly were awarded to illegal aliens in exchange for money that also apparently ended up in Hezbollah's coffers. According to court documents, Spinelli, whose maiden name was Khalil Nabbouh, entered the United States from Lebanon on a student visa in 1989. After her arrival, she lived in Taylor, Mich., with sisters Elfat El Aouar and Nada Nadim El Aouar (who would later become Nada Prouty). The El Aouar sisters also had entered the United States on student visas, and had failed to return to Lebanon once their studies ended. On April 13, 1990, Spinelli entered into a fraudulent marriage with Jean Paul Deladurantaye in order to remain in the United States and obtain U.S. citizenship. On Aug. 9, 1990, Spinelli then facilitated Prouty's fraudulent marriage to Chris Deladurantaye, the brother of Spinelli's sham husband. Spinelli enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1990 and, after receiving her citizenship, divorced Deladurantaye and married a fellow Marine, Capt. Gary Spinelli, in 1995. Commissioned as a Marine officer in 1997, Spinelli rose to the rank of captain and was awarded several decorations. She reportedly was serving her second tour of duty in Iraq when she was called back to face the fraud charges. Meanwhile, Prouty worked as a waitress at one of Chahine's restaurants as she earned a bachelor's degree from Detroit Business College. After gaining her U.S. citizenship in 1994, she moved to Pennsylvania to pursue an MBA at Bloomsburg University. While at Bloomsburg, she met and married Andrew Alley, who had served as a Marine during Operation Desert Storm. In 1997, the FBI hired Prouty as an agent and assigned her to the FBI's Washington field office, where she worked on an extraterritorial squad investigating crimes against U.S. persons overseas -- terrorism cases. As part of her duties, she investigated the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole and the 2002 assassination of American diplomat Laurence Foley, in Amman, Jordan. In 2000, Prouty divorced Alley and later married Foreign Service officer Gordon Prouty, who had served at U.S. embassies in Islamabad, Pakistan, and Cairo, Egypt. Knowing Nada Prouty from her work as an FBI agent working terrorism cases, the CIA hired her in 2003, and she became an agency case officer. She reportedly was assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, and participated in a number of interrogations of high-value suspects, including captured al Qaeda members. When the CIA learned of Prouty's immigration fraud in December 2005, the agency reportedly moved her to a less sensitive language-training post. Elfat El Aouar also was involved in a sham marriage in 1990 and, like her sister, went on to earn an MBA. She became the financial manager of the La Shish restaurants and married La Shish owner Chahine in 2000. She was convicted on tax evasion charges and sentenced in May 2007. A third sister, Rula Nadim El Aouar, also has been charged with immigration fraud as a result of her 1992 sham marriage to a man who worked as a dishwasher at a La Shish restaurant. It was the investigation into the activities of Chahine and El Aouar that eventually led authorities to Prouty and Spinelli. The Potential Blowback Although there is no evidence at this point that Prouty and Spinelli worked on behalf of Hezbollah, we cannot ignore the fact that the U.S. government has produced evidence that Prouty's sister and Chahine attended an August 2002 Hezbollah fundraiser in Lebanon -- during which Chahine was seated in a position of honor at the right hand of Hezbollah's spiritual leader, Sheikh Muhammed Hussein Fadlallah. Additionally, Prouty did admit in her guilty plea that in September 2000 she used the FBI's computerized Automated Case System (ACS) without authorization to look up her own name, her sister's name and that of Chahine. Prouty also admitted that in June 2003 she accessed the ACS to obtain information relating to an FBI national security investigation into Hezbollah -- though she had not been officially assigned to work any Hezbollah cases. | Just in case you thought iwas crazy or full of it when i said that the Muslim Brotherhood was the modern Ikhwan, well here is an interview with the leader of both, the one and the same. Muslim Brotherhood leader: There's No Such Thing as Al-Qaeda -- The Americans Made It Up A British former intelligence official is telling us that we're paying too much attention to Al-Qaeda, and ought to be focusing on global warming instead. And Mahdi 'Akef of the Ikhwan, coming from the other side of this great conflict, is telling us that Al-Qaeda doesn't even exist. (Yes because global warming is killing so many people and threatening to take over the world.Of course Al Qaeda is just made up stuff...isn't all of Islam? I think both these guys have a point, but it's not the point they were trying to make. The Al-Qaeda threat has been exaggerated, and the global jihad threat of which Al-Qaeda is only a part, and of which the Muslim Brotherhood itself is also a part, has been virtually ignored. Few realize that Israel faces a mortal threat from people who hold the same ideology as that held by those who attacked us on 9/11 (note, also, 'Akef's remarks about "Palestine"). Almost no one realizes what those same ideologues are doing right now in Europe, and in America as well, without setting off a single bomb. (Robert) Yep,What goes on with Israel and Palestine is the larger picture that is and will be going on wherever there is a single muslim in any country. Al Qaeda or at least some if not most of it's members were and are members of the Muslim Brotherhood.I think most all terrorist groups are. "Muslim Brotherhood Leader Sheikh Mahdi 'Akef: We Are Ready to Send 10,000 Men to Palestine, But Egyptian Government Should Arm Them; There's No Such Thing as Al-Qaeda – The Americans Made It Up," from MEMRI (thanks to Twostellas): The following are excerpts from an interview with Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt leader Sheikh Muhammad Mahdi 'Akef, which aired on Al-Hiwar TV on November 30, 2007. · To view the clip of this interview, visit: http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/1627.htm. · To view MEMRI Inquiry & Analysis No. 409 "Public Debate on the Political Platform of the Planned Muslim Brotherhood Party in Egypt,"visit: http://memri.org/bin/articles.cgi?Page=countries&Area=egypt&ID=IA40907. · To view the Muslim Brotherhood MEMRI TV page, visit: www.memritv.org/subject/en/345.htm. The following is the Al-Hiwar interview: Interviewer: "During the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, you said that the Muslim Brotherhood was prepared to arm 10,000 young men, and to send them to Lebanon in order to support the resistance. Does this apply to Palestine too?" 'Akef: "This applies to any country under occupation. One of the principles of the Muslim Brotherhood is to rid the Arab and Islamic nation of any foreign rule. The Muslim Brotherhood must support all the forces of resistance in the Arab and Islamic world." Interviewer: "From where will they get the weapons?" 'Akef: "I don't know. I was talking about men, not weapons. I said we would recruit 10,000 men..." Interviewer: "Armed men..." 'Akef: "No, you added the word 'armed.' The government must arm these people. When I fought in Palestine, the government knew about it. The government trained and armed us. As you well know, the military commanders worked with the Muslim Brotherhood. When we fought the English in 1951 in the [Suez] Canal, the government knew about it. We would undergo weapons training within [Al-Azhar] University." ( well the Universities have to be used for something i guess so terrorism training would fit.....i suppose. The way i see it this isn't going to be training ten thousand men to go to war, isn't there places for such training in normal Nations? I thought there were places that armies trained and were dispatched from? Then again when you send normal army and you keep getting your ass handed back to you on a silver platter i can see the point of using terrorists instead.Go with what has worked for you so far....right? ) [...] Interviewer: "There are Sunnis, members of Al-Qaeda, who kill civilians in the name of Islam. There are Shi'ites who kill Sunnis in the name of Islam..." 'Akef: "All these things are American Zionist tricks. The Shi'ites attack one another, the Sunnis attack one another, and the Sh'iites attack the Sunnis. But the Muslim Brotherhood has a principle, which I declared from day one: The Shi'ites and Sunnis are brothers." "To kill even one is as if he has killed all of humanity,to save one life is to save all of humanity." Last time i checked muslims weren't supposed to kill muslims yet here it's made to sound like it's to be a normal thing.maybe murder is just normal to them, what do you think? BUT that doesn't include his group which we must realize are more than likely all perfect emulators and pious muslims who do not conform to killing innocent peopl, which once again leads us to that What does Innocent mean to Islam and what does Innocent mean to you and myself? I know i don't have to go any further with that. Also it was just like i had said many times when it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood and "The Project","The Grand Jihad" all strains of Islam work together to defeat and enslave the infidels. [...] 'Akef: "I'd like to go back to the issue of Al-Qaeda. There is no such thing as Al-Qaeda. This is an American invention, so that they will have something to fight for..." Something to fight for? we have plenty to fight for.We fight against every word uttered out of that book from hell. We fight for the rights of our children to grow up without the love of death and to know the love of life taught to them by thier parents who love them more than anything.God doesn't ask for the sacrifice of children, yes he said that we should love him first and foremost. These people right now are celebrating Abrahams call from God to sacrifice his only child and stopped that sacrifice when he found his willingness and his faith in God was undoubtable. These people missed the whole concept and instead continue to sacrifice thier children.Inventions my dear sir? Lets do talk more about inventions, lets talk more bout Islam.) Interviewer: "What about Osama bin Laden, Al-Zawahiri, and the Islamic State of Iraq?" 'Akef: "When one man, or two or three, fight this tyrannical global superpower - is it worth anything?" ( perhaps you should ask all the victims of the one ,two and three men.whom by the way only see and believe the same as you do.The same as you have stated thus far. Interviewer: "Thousands have carried out attacks in the Iraq in the name of Al-Qaeda..." 'Akef: "That is a lie. Who says so?" Interviewer: "They do." 'Akef: "No, the Americans and their collaborators say this." Interviewer: "But they claim responsibility for these attacks..." ( i believe these are some of those inconvenient truths that a polisher in one of my recent posts mentioned.Talk about acrobatics. They should make interviewing a muslim about thier religion in the Olympics, they would come out with the Gold medal everytime with such acrobatic skills.) 'Akef: "Al-Qaeda has an ideology, which makes them..." Interviewer: "You described it once as a perverted ideology." 'Akef: "Of course it is. It is a perverted ideology, which employs methods that do not please Allah. How can I kill a Muslim when this is forbidden?" But earlier it was normal action, just another day in the lands of Oz,now it is forbidden when it is to further his earlier acrobatic comments, which is the furtherment of Islam and "justice". Of course none in his holy and pious and perfectly emulating of peace group would do such things. A non-Muslim? Sure. Fire away. ( Robert) Indeed !! Posted by Robert at | |
Oh so troublesome building those bridges as i have come to know first hand as of late as may have many of you.I hit a snag while working on one of my bridge building projects, ran into a bit of un level ground, disappointing really. But then as i was turning away from that episode to re coop a bit i was blessed with another friend who was very much interested in building bridges so a shout out to Jansen way over there in Poland,Merry Christmas buddy and look forward to talking more with you.So Georgy Porgy as far as your attempt at building a bridge and the gap at times feels as if it only gets longer all i can say is i feel for you. There is a however! However i am sorry to say that i can't offer too much sympathy for you Mr.President because i do my own homework on the topic of today or at least what should be the topic, and that's been a lot of hard work. You on the other hand should be an expert by now on the should be topic of the day and everyday for the last six yrs and longer with all the help at your disposal. So while in some way i feel for you i have to say all in all you are still just another putz.Get a clue or get out!! And Merry Christmas to you, kafir Bush sends Muslims Eid al-Adha greetings, reinforces hatred toward non-Muslims (www.jihadwatch.org/ ) An attempt at generous outreach that, unfortunately, backfires. "Islam: Bush sends Muslims Eid al-Adha greetings," from AKI (thanks to Jeffrey Imm): Washington, 19 Dec. (AKI) - United States president George W. Bush on Wednesday sent a message of goodwill to Muslims worldwide at the start of the major Muslim Eid al-Adha festival of sacrifice. "During Eid al-Adha, Muslims around the world reflect on Abraham's unwavering faith and his trust in God when asked to sacrifice his son," Bush said in the message. "These four days are a time for Muslims to honour Abraham's obedience by celebrating with family and friends and showing gratitude for the many blessings bestowed by God. "This holiday also helps ensure the important values of compassion and devotion are passed on to future generations," the message continued. Bush also paid tribute to the role played by Muslims in America, saying they "enriched" multicultural US society. "The kindness, generosity, and goodwill displayed by American Muslims during this special occasion and throughout the year have contributed to the strength and vitality of our Nation," the message stated. "May all those observing Eid al-Adha find love and warmth during this joyous holiday. Laura and I send our best wishes for a memorable celebration," the message ended. Eid al-Adha, which lasts through Saturday, is one of the most important Muslim holidays. It commemorates the Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael to Allah. "These four days are a time for Muslims to honour Abraham's obedience by celebrating with family and friends and showing gratitude for the many blessings bestowed by God." "Honor Abraham's obedience." What is said is not always heard the way it is meant. In speaking of Abraham, even when doing so in the context of Eid al-Adha, Bush probably thinks of Genesis 22:15-18, in which Abraham is rewarded for his faith and told he will become a blessing to the nations: And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven, and said, "By myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will indeed bless you, and I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies, and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves, because you have obeyed my voice." But when Bush congratulates Muslims on Eid al-Adha and exhorts them to honor Abraham, what does his audience hear? Most Muslims don't read Genesis. When they think of Abraham, they think of Qur'an passages such as (60:4): There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever, unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone." But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal. Did you catch that? This verse is saying that Abraham is an "excellent example" (uswa hasana, أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ, a term applied also to Muhammad in 33:21). Abraham is an excellent example to follow when he says to the polytheists that there is "enmity and hatred forever" between him and them, unless they "believe in Allah and Him alone." However, the Qur'an also tells us that he is not an excellent example to follow when he says to his pagan father, "I will pray for forgiveness for thee." Hatred is held up as exemplary; forgiveness is explicitly ruled out. When Bush tells Muslims to "honor Abraham's obedience," he is thus inadvertently reinforcing a worldview that takes for granted the legitimacy of everlasting enmity and hatred between Muslims and non-Muslims -- and doing so precisely in the context of trying to build bridges between Muslims and non-Muslims. Honor Abraham's obedience, says the President: hate the kuffar. This demonstrates once again how vitally important it is for Bush, and for the rest of us, to have a detailed understanding of the theological and cultural frame of reference of jihadists and Muslims in general. But for lack of this, not only are statements issued that could have and should have been much more carefully worded, but policy errors keep multiplying. Posted by Robert at www.jihadwatch.org/
Part 3 of Congressman cozy with Terorrists.Funded by Tax Payers. A flier for the upcoming "Many Faces of Islam" conference held in the Ohio State Capitol atrium notes the sponsorship of the publicly-funded Ohio Humanities Council (click image to enlarge; thanks to the Investigative Project for providing us with a copy). New details have emerged concerning the scheduled October-terror-fest in the Ohio Statehouse on October 28th. Not only is the event being partially funded by taxpayer funds through sponsorship by the Ohio Humanities Council (OHC has not yet revealed how much public money the event has received), but yet another speaker at the event, Zalfaqir Ali Shah, has multiple terrorism ties, including to Al-Qaeda. Shah has also made some statements very peculiar for a supposedly "interfaith" advocate, such as this little gem as reported by Islamonline: If we are unable to stop the Jews now, their next stop is Yathrib (The Prophet's city of Medina), where the Jews used to live until their expulsion by Prophet Muhammad. That's the pinnacle of their motives. Read my full article at FrontPage Magazine, "Ohio's Taxpayer-Financed Terror-Fest", for all the details.

I had to think about it (not very hard and long) as to whether to give this fool the polishers award that is given by the War Room Blog to those Polishers of Islam.Soooo without further ado i would like to present this award to Mauri' Saalakahn Keep it polished sir as i know you will try like hell to do so. In the Name of God, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful
October 11, 2007
Greetings of Peace:
This comes in response to an article submitted to FrontPage Magazine by a deeply disturbed bigot by the name of Patrick Poole. At the conclusion of a recent trip to Columbus, I was given a copy of an article titled “HAMAS in the House.” This bigoted commentary intrigued me for a number of reasons. (Starts out of the gate in victim mode.We should know where this will lead...HUH?)
For starters, it impugned the integrity of a number of people and organizations that I happen to know personally: Anisa Abdel Fattah, Ahmed Yousef, Robert D. Crane, Abukar Arman, Ahmad Al-Akhras, Mohamad Salah, the American Muslim Council (AMC), Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), SAAR Foundation and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). ( Well so far Poole hasn't beeen proven to be a Bigot as to what he wrote and thinks.I mean do you see that this dingle berry is actually insinuating that CAIR is an honorable group.I only read on myself for the amusement and acrobatrics that will ensue.)
In addition to the aforementioned individuals and organizations, Mr. Poole also attacked a number of others who I’ve come to know only through careful research, in my capacity as an advocate with a Metropolitan Washington-based human rights organization - individuals and organizations such as Fawaz Damra, Sami Al-Arian, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, Mousa abu Marzook, the World Islam and Studies Enterprise (WISE), HAMAS, the Muslim Brotherhood, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda. ( Islamic rights groups or Human rights group? because they are NOT the same thing. Is he saying he knew nothing of the individuals he just mentioned until he did research on them? LIAR.You can't think CAIR is honorable and not know of ALL the above mentioned "people."You outright lie.)
Mr. Poole also referenced an incident that unfolded on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, this past August (2007), with the clear intent in mind of hoping to help orchestrate a similar embarrassment for Ohio officials at the State Capitol in Columbus. With this in mind I would like to offer a little food for thought, God willing. ( Yes ,yes of course God willing)
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once noted that the true measure of a man (or woman) is not determined during times of “relative comfort and convenience,” but rather, during times of “challenge and controversy.” In this hour the Interfaith Association of Central Ohio is being challenged by the powerful winds of religious bigotry. In order to help you collectively STAND UP to the challenge, I offer the following FACTS. (Yes people let us get ready to stand up to slavery that is being imposed on Islam and Muslims. This should be good, lets see.)
1. Anisa abd el Fattah is not an “extremist.” She is an intelligent, opinionated and deeply committed activist who cares (among other things) about the tragic plight of the Palestinian people - a people who for the past 60 years have been trapped in an ongoing genocide. That being said, IF she stated, in a letter to the editor of the Columbus Dispatch (as Poole alleges she did) that, “There are no Israeli civilians in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. There are only illegal Jewish settlers, who, by Israeli law, are also citizen-soldiers…” - with the implication being that it is permissible for any and all Israelis to be deliberately targeted (according to Islamic law) - she clearly mis-spoke; and if given the opportunity I’m sure that she would correct this misperception. (HAH,too funny. OF COURSE she would take it back or change what she said.It made her and Islam look bad,not that neither need any help in that department. This guy is tossing them all out there. So far we have Infidel racism and Bigotry and Infidel Ignorance.By the way what she said was EXACTLY what Islam and muslims think and in FACT are taught. It's amazing that Israelis HAVING to be civilian soldiers to defend themselves against a people who TEACH thier children to be murderers, mass murderers. It's okay and justified to kill the Jews for such reasons the Palestinians however should be off limits...right?)
2. Dr. Ahmed Yusuf is not an “extremist.” He is a deeply committed and caring Palestinian activist; someone who is routinely described by those who know him as a “moderate” - and someone who is understandably committed to the liberation of his people. As one of the principle founders of UASR, I always found him to be genuinely committed to dialogue and peaceful resolution whenever possible. (And I’ve known Dr. Yousef for many years.) ( Blah, blah ,blah. You have conspired with Yousef for years to aid in the continual destruction of Israel, just freaking say it. Be a MAN )
Concerning the work of UASR, I had the pleasure of attending a number of their periodic Roundtable Discussions - including one, by the way, in which the well known islamophobe Daniel Pipes was the featured presenter. (Even he was accorded, from start to finish, far more courtesy than a number of participants thought he deserved.) ( Ding,Ding,Ding. It didn't take too long to throw Islamophobe in there did it.This jerk tries to make it sound as if Pipes was afforded all kinds of respect but he as much as the woman he mentioned above who wishes to CHANGE her "misunderstood" statement, really spoke what they thought.)
There is a book entitled Islam And The West: A Dialogue, edited by Imad Ad-Dean Ahmad & Ahmed Yousef, and published jointly by the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR) and the American Muslim Foundation (AMF). It features a number of these thought-provoking dialogues between leaders and activists from the Muslim community, and writers, journalists and policymakers from the non-Muslim community. This is what the UASR was really all about - conflict resolution through productive dialogue! ( From the NOn muslims community, policy makers? You mean you and the Democrats have had sit downs and discussions on your plans to tear the west down from the inside don't you? Yes that is what you mean.)
3. With all that Mr. Poole had to say about Dr. Robert D. Crane and his dubious connections to UASR (a “HAMAS terrorist front“) and the American Muslim Council - a now defunct organization whose good work he impugns simply because of the personal failings of one of its leaders - he failed to mention that Dr. Crane also served in a number of Republican administrations. (I guess Poole’s operational model is Guilt by association, but avoid the inconvenient truths.) (HaH, a muslim blaming someone else for avoiding INCONVEIENT TRUTHS....too funny....waaaay too funny. This guy is about to hit all cylinders and will be running full throttle lunacy before long.)
4. Abukar Arman and Ahmad Al-Akhras are two very active Columbus, Ohio residents who are also not deserving of Mr. Poole’s scare-mongering. As the national vice-chairman of CAIR - an organization that has done much to foster good, healthy American-Islamic relations for over a decade now - one would think that the city of Columbus would feel privileged to have someone like Ahmad Al-Akhras as a resident. As for Abukar Arman, a very decent and caring man, who I know well and interact with often, it was shocking to learn (again, according to Mr. Poole) that someone of such quality and temperament would be forced off of the board that oversees Central Ohio Homeland Security. (If this is indeed true, it is Central Ohio’s loss.) ( Dar starts singing swing low sweet chariot with his arm around this fool as he digs his grave over thinking that CAIR has done one BIT of anything good.Lunacy is starting to set in.)
5. Mohamed Salah, a U.S. citizen of Palestinian birth, was imprisoned and tortured by Israeli authorities for nothing more than exercising his material concern for the humanitarian plight of his own people! After his subsequent return to the U.S. - after approximately five years of unjust confinement - he and his family were then persecuted by his own adopted government. A political trial ended several months ago with Mohamad Salah and his codefendant being found innocent of ALL terrorism-related charges - despite the poisonous (pro-prosecution) post 9/11 climate that surrounded the trial, and the millions of dollars that the US Government devoted to its prosecution! ( I think we can chalk this up to some of those inconvenient truths sir.And by the way lets go have a look at what those Jewish prisoners the Palestinians and Lebanese are holding are treated. If they are even still alive. It ain't ever over until it's over ,sir.)
6. In the opinion of many observers (both Muslim and non-Muslim), the ordeal of Imam Fawaz Damra - like that of Dr. Sami Al-Arian - was also nothing more than a totally unjustified, politically and religiously-driven witch-hunt, which at the end of the day has brought enormous shame on the better of the two Americas. ( I suspect you speak of Democrats and other leftards when you mention non muslims. Also i never see you mention muslims who agree with anything when the U.S. moves to defend itself from your BS.)
In the case of Dr. Al-Arian, Mr. Poole failed to mention that when the controversy first erupted around the now defunct World Islam and Studies Enterprise (WISE) at the University of South Florida, many years ago, an outside independent investigation of WISE was commissioned by the university. At the end of the investigation, the finding was that not only were there NO OVERSEAS TERRORIST LINKS to the enterprise, but that WISE was deemed to be an asset to the University of South Florida community! ( Hmmm,an internal investigation by the University investigating an entity that probably brings in Millions of Saudi Money? Of course it's an asset. But really i think it's just an ASS)
7. As for Musa Abu Marzook, he too was considered a “moderate” leader within the Hamas organization. Despite this, however, after many years of legal and productive residence in the U.S., Marzook became a political prisoner for a number of years before agreeing to leave the country and never return. When the Clinton Administration designated Marzook a global terrorist in 1995 (if I‘m not mistaken, AFTER his deportation) it was pure politics - US/Israeli style - and nothing more. ( Moderate?....Moderate? Thats twice you mentioned moderates.Just because he was "considered" a moderate a moderate does not make. There are no moderate muslims ans the sooner people get that point the better off we all will be.Islam is Islam.)
As for the punitively disparate treatment accorded to HAMAS - and, by extension, to the Palestinian people by the power brokers within the “international community“ - human rights advocates from a variety of persuasions have for years raised the question: If America and other western nations could recognize a distinction between the Irish Republican Army (IRA) and its political wing, Sein Fein; between the openly terrorist wings of anti-Castro Cuban organizations and their American-based political wings, why aren’t the same distinctions made for the political, humanitarian, and military resistance wings of Hamas?! ( Terrorism is terrorism, but come on sir.You mention all the above groups and the one you work out of and you are so stupid to ask a stupid question? The IRA wasn't wanting to rule the world or commit genocide on an ongoing scale until all bow to allah and only allah.)
(We won’t even mention the US and European based organizations that regularly contribute to the brazen violations of well established international law in the occupied territories of Palestine. And as for Israel’s brutal execution of the paraplegic Palestinian leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin - along with other innocent bystanders, a few years ago - we were also among those who condemned that extrajudicial murder; and for good reason.) ( Oh you mean the TERORRIST leader they killed? Was he the one that invented the Kassam rockets or just ordered where to place and point them.I'm glad he is dead, throw another log on the fire.)
8. Regarding the raids on the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and the SAAR Foundation (ala, “Operation Greenquest”), we have yet to see a prosecution come out of it; and thus, as far as we are concerned it was nothing more than another well publicized witch-hunt of prominent Muslim organizations in America. ( Perhaps that gives us both something to look forard to.All in good time my dear watson all in good time.)
As I near my conclusion (I’ve already gone on a lot longer than I had planned to) I would like to end with a few thoughts on the aborted Capitol Hill conference. I have some first hand knowledge on that initiative because I was one of the main organizers. ( Ahhh, perosonaly wounded.Couldn't be the big man on terrorism campus.Thats gotta suck.)
It is true that the Sergeant-at-Arms at the U.S. Capitol canceled our use of space on the day before a scheduled event (in the process, violating our rights as U.S. citizens). This action, needless to say, rankled the feathers of a good number of people beyond our own ranks (i.e., senior and mid-level staffers in other offices on Capitol Hill). Why, and how, did it happen? ( UGH...Democrats again.)
On the day before the event - a Friday that also signaled the summer recess for the members of both chambers - the Sergeant-at-Arms contacted the congressional office who had reserved the space for our event. He then contacted the congressman directly (he was about to board a plane for a flight out of the country), with a message that his office had received some sort of “intelligence” that raised security concerns about the event that was scheduled to be held the following day. He wanted to know if the congressman was planning to be present - and of course the answer was no. ( Oh the irony. The Congressman smooooozing with terrorists wasn't planning on attending,he was headed out of the country? Nah nothing odd there.Wonder where he went?)
The short of it is this. We have since met with the congressman; he apologized for the mishap and assured us that we will be able to plan the event again with his full knowledge and support. Should Anisa Abd’el Fattah, Abukar Arman, or Ahmed Al-Akhras wish to be included in the lineup of speakers again, they will be more than welcomed. ( Well thats nice but the question is will the good Congressman be attending?)
(I’m sorry to have to burst Mr. Poole’s bubble, but the “precedent” that he so joyfully alluded to in this matter, will soon be reversed. I pray that the Ohio State House will be spared such an embarrassing ordeal.) ( Yes let us pray...dear allah and muhammad and all the heroes lions and martyrs......Freaking peope just come up embarrassed and humiliated at every turn.Poor nut cases.)
As a final thought, it would behoove us to revisit an observation made by former U.S. National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brezinski, writing in the March 25, 2007, edition of The Washington Post. (We also feature these excerpts among the closing thoughts in our book titled Islam & Terrorism: Myth vs. Reality.) ( Great, please do go on...)
“The war on terror has created a culture of fear in America. The Bush administration’s elevation of these three words into a national mantra since the horrific events of 9/11 has had a pernicious impact on American democracy, on America’s psyche and on U.S. standing in the world… The damage these three words have done - a classic self-inflicted wound - is infinitely greater than any wild dreams entertained by the fanatical perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks..” He also noted, “The terror entrepreneurs, usually described as experts on terrorism, are necessarily engaged in competition to justify their existence.” ( HAH,In other words lest stop talking and thinking about terrorism and Islam and all the babies will be lulled back to sleep and the plan can continue. The whole point losers like this nutbag miss is that those terrorists attacked us and have been attacking us to justify thier existance. My countrymen and women do not wish to stand idly by like they do in the land of OZ and wait to be part of thier "justification.")
I can’t help but wonder if this is the primary motive behind Mr. Poole’s shrill episodes of fear and hate-mongering. Whatever it is, people of good will (and sincere faith) must resist such demagoguery, and lead the way to the better angels within human nature. If not now, when? ( When Islam is dead, gone and forgotten.Thats when)
May your October 28 conference be a blessed event!
Mauri’ Saalakhan Director of Operations The Peace And Justice Foundation
I recieved this in the Mail from ACT (American Congress for Truth) a few days ago,i was wading through almost 200 hundred pieces of mail from....i guess everybody and anybody and had to smack myself upside the head for letting this one pass as long as i did.So here it is.The link at the bootm of the email takes you to the original story at Pajamas Media. Congressman Gregory Meeks' Cozy Relationship With A Terror-Linked Organization
The DC-based Peace and Justice Foundation has a shockingly wide range of friends, from terrorists in the Middle East to powerful backers on Capitol Hill. Patrick Poole zeroes in on one particularly loyal friend. By Patrick Poole Why is a powerful congressman trying to pave the way for terror-linked speakers to appear on Capitol Hill? That's the question that comes to mind following the abrupt cancellation of the Muslim Mobilization Conference by the US House of Representatives Sergeant-at-Arms. The event, originally scheduled for August 11, would have taken place in the Cannon House Building Caucus Room had it not been for the last minute discovery of the terror-linked speakers that the DC-based Peace and Justice Foundation had invited to participate. However the organization is claiming that Congressman Gregory Meeks, who initially helped organize the event, is actively working with them to reschedule, notwithstanding the organization's public defense of several global terrorist organizations and two notorious cop killers. And a review of the Peace and Justice Foundation's corporate documents shows that the group has been operating illegally for nearly a decade without any accountability whatsoever for funds it has raised for a wide variety of extremist causes. According to an article in The Muslim Link, the scheduling of the August conference had been handled by the chief-of-staff for Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY6), Jameel Alim Johnson. Only after the Sergeant-at-Arms contacted Congressman Meeks directly and discovered that he would not be attending was the group told the event would not be permitted in congressional facilities. The conference was held the following day at a local DC-area mosque. As a result of that decision, accusations of Islamophobia and censorship were immediately made by the conference organizers and speakers. Even Jameel Johnson of Congressman Meeks' office said in an email, reported by Final Call, that "this certainly seemed to me to be the red-flagging of a Muslim group. For the Sergeant-at-Arms to call out of the blue on the last day to make sure (Rep. Meeks) is going to be there and is sponsoring the function is unusual and unfair." But an investigation by Pajamas Media has discovered a host of troubling accusations regarding the Peace and Justice Foundation and its leader, Mauri Saalakhan. Perhaps the most troubling are his enthusiastic, public support for designated terrorist organizations and convicted terrorists, and his efforts on behalf of convicted cop killer Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin. These multiple ties to terrorist organizations and operatives raise questions about the continued assistance offered to the group by Congressman Meeks, who holds positions on the powerful House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs Committees. He is also active with the Congressional Black Caucus. This reporter spoke with Meeks spokeswoman Candace Sandy, but neither she nor the DC or District Congressional offices for Rep. Meeks would return repeated calls asking for comment on his relationship with Mauri Saalakhan and the Peace and Justice Foundation. One of the scheduled speakers for the Capitol Hill Muslim Mobilization Conference was Anisa Abd El Fattah, a longtime former employee and past president of the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), which one convicted terrorist leader described as "the political command for HAMAS in the United States." The organization was one of the US-based organizations found liable in a $156 million federal court judgment in the death of an American teenager killed in a Hamas suicide attack in Israel. Fattah was the subject of a recent Pajamas Media article describing her covert attempts to be appointed to the Columbus (OH) Public School Board. Fattah has also co-authored two books with the current spokesman for Hamas, Ahmed Yousef, and was a longtime consultant to terrorist leader Abdurahman Alamoudi. Alamoudi was convicted of conspiring with the Libyan government to kill Crown Prince Abdullah, the Saudi royal heir at the time and now the king of Saudi Arabia. After the Capitol Hill event was canceled, another scheduled speaker at the conference, Abukar Arman, promptly scheduled a similar event at the Ohio Statehouse on October 28 with many of the same speakers. These included Anisa Abd El Fattah. This reporter was the first to report on the Ohio Statehouse event, as well as the public financing that paid for the event, noting that the previous conference in August in Washington, D.C., with approximately the same set of speakers, had been cancelled because of their extremism and terror connections. Those reports prompted a published response from the Peace and Justice Foundation. In an open letter to the Ohio event's organizers penned by Mauri Saalakhan, this reporter was attacked and numerous terrorist organizations and terrorist leaders were defended: In addition to the aforementioned individuals and organizations, Mr. Poole also attacked a number of others who I've come to know only through careful research, in my capacity as an advocate with a Metropolitan Washington-based human rights organization - individuals and organizations such as Fawaz Damra, Sami Al-Arian, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, Mousa abu Marzook, the World Islam and Studies Enterprise (WISE), HAMAS, the Muslim Brotherhood, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda. A quick review of the "others" that Saalakhan had "come to know" is appropriate: -
Fawaz Damra - convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad fundraiser, deported earlier this year; -
Sami Al-Arian - convicted North American Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader, currently in federal prison for reneging on his plea deal to testify against his terror-supporting co-conspirators; -
Sheikh Ahmed Yasin - founder of the terrorist group HAMAS, assassinated by Israel in March 2004; -
Mousa Abu Marzook - HAMAS deputy political leader, former HAMAS North American fundraiser, deported by the US government. In his open letter, he defends each of these terrorist leaders in detail. Additionally, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda are all well-known US-designated global terrorist organizations. Moreover, the Muslim Brotherhood is the oldest and largest purveyor of jihadist ideology, as well as the incubator for virtually every single Islamic terrorist organization in the world today. Saalakhan also rose to the defense of current Hamas spokesman Ahmed Yousef, identifying him as a "moderate" and a longtime personal associate. He failed to note that Yousef fled the country in 2005 to avoid prosecution in the Fawaz Damra trial, after which he immediately reappeared as a top Hamas official: Dr. Ahmed Yusuf is not an "extremist." He is a deeply committed and caring Palestinian activist; someone who is routinely described by those who know him as a "moderate" - and someone who is understandably committed to the liberation of his people. As one of the principle founders of UASR, I always found him to be genuinely committed to dialogue and peaceful resolution whenever possible. (And I've known Dr. Yousef for many years.) Also in Saalakhan's open letter, he states that his organization had met with Rep. Meeks and is working with his congressional office to reschedule the canceled Capitol Hill conference: The short of it is this. We have since met with the congressman; he apologized for the mishap and assured us that we will be able to plan the event again with his full knowledge and support. If Congressman Meeks and his office staff are in fact continuing to assist Mauri Saalakhan and his Peace and Justice Foundation with Congressman Meeks' "full knowledge and support," perhaps they can also explain why they believe it is appropriate considering Saalakhan's ongoing efforts to promote the cause of convicted cop killers Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin and Mumia Abu Jamal. In the case of Al-Amin, Saalakhan has published numerous articles in his defense, even though Al-Amin was convicted on all charges by a Georgia jury and was identified as the shooter by the partner of the murdered police officer, who was also severely injured in the attack. The weapons used in the ambush of the officers were recovered at the time of Al-Amin's arrest. Saalakhan has also published a number of articles in defense of the following convicted terrorists: Zacarias Moussaoui (the "20th 9/11 hijacker"); Abdurahman Alamoudi (discussed earlier as a conspirator in the plot to kill Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah); Jose Padilla (al-Qaeda "dirty bomber"); the "blind sheikh" Omar Abdel Rahman (currently serving life plus 70 years for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing); and the members of the Northern Virginia Jihad Network. Mauri Saalakhan has even come under fire from segments of the Muslim community, such as New Trend Magazine, for failing to disclose the details of the funds he has raised in his various activities, particularly the extensive fundraising he conducted all over the country in support of Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin's defense. To read the rest of this article, click here. Hmmm, another Democrat that has a muslim hand in his back, what puppets.Crunch....burp,they make great crocodile food....neeeeext!!
Like i keep saying there are no 'cultural' differences when it comes to any and all Islamic Nations and States. Islam is Islam. The only differences are the lies used to further it,and even those aren't so different. Does Culture Play a Role in Poverty? Laina Farhat-Holzman, Ph.D.
A common view is that poverty is the fruit of colonialism and exploitation and the cure is to distribute the wealth from the haves to the have-nots. The World Bank states that countries, through enacting intelligent government policies, can soon bootstrap from backward to being developed. But one of America’s best economists, Robert J. Samuelson disagrees: culture, he says, is the main factor in determining wealth or poverty.
Lawrence Harrison of Tufts University agrees. By culture, he means the beliefs and practices that are learned and enforced, not intrinsic human ability, which does not differ from place to place. The United States is peopled by immigrants from hopelessly backward places who have thrived in this culture where they could not in their homelands.
Another economist, Gregory Clark, also agrees. In his book “A Farewell to Alms: A Brief Economic History of the World,” he states that most of the world’s remaining poverty is pretty much permanent. Just pushing a policy of open markets, secure property rights, sound money, and anti-corruption does not mean that cultures hostile to these values will carry out such policies, and their plight has worsened over time. The gap between rich and poor nations in 1800 was a ratio of 4:1; today it is 50:1.
Clark notes that before 1800, most societies were stagnant and people lived much as did their ancestors in the Stone Age. Economic growth (and all the good things that have come with it) only began in England in 1800. Why England and why not China or Japan, both of which in 1800 were at the same level of development as England? The answer, he says, was the emergence of middle class values (hard work, sobriety, ingenuity, patience, and education). Max Weber (1864-1920), who wrote “Capitalism and the Protestant Ethic,” convincingly attributed this change to these Protestant values.
Historically, changing cultural habits is usually a bloody business. Most humans fear change, thinking the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. England’s culture changed during the deadly competition between the values of Catholicism and Protestantism. What people believed mattered to England’s rulers to the extent of executing those with the “wrong” set of beliefs. Protestantism, unlike the Catholicism of the day, promoted literacy; hard work as a virtue, not a curse; merchant (middle class) urban economy rather than aristocratic feudal agronomy; and, of course, industrialization.
It is unpopular today to recognize the salutary benefit of the right kind of religion in shaping a people, but it was demonstrated by England and its later colonies, particularly the United States. For centuries, it has been the teaching of parents that has produced children with these values, which became inbred even after church-going and religious domination declined. That is (at least until now) our prevailing culture.
But what of those countries dominated by tribal, religious, ideological or political practices that dislike the middle class values that we espouse? What happens to a country such as Saudi Arabia when oil money no longer fuels their semi-welfare theocracy? Where is the willingness to work with one's hands and the cultivation of literacy and talent from all citizens, male and female, to come from? When militant Islam dreams of a world dominated by them, in which all other cultures will (after conquest) support their idleness, where do modern values fit in?
China and Japan (and finally India) have demonstrated that they do not fear adopting modern Western values in developing their societies. They are succeeding, but the Muslim world and Sub-Sahara Africa are not. They eventually will learn this, but it will be a slow process – and undoubtedly bloody. Throwing money at it will not help. http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/challenges.php?id=1385911 http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
Saudi king pardons teenage rape victim 1 day ago RIYADH (AFP) — King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia pardoned a teenage girl sentenced to six months in jail and 200 lashes after being gang raped in a decision swiftly welcomed by Washington on Monday. Justice Minister Abdullah bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim al-Sheikh hailed the king's "laudable instructions to grant the pardon", in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency. The sentence against the 19-year-old girl had drawn criticism of the ultra-conservative Muslim kingdom from key ally President George W. Bush. The girl, who was 18 at the time she was raped, was attacked at knifepoint by seven men after she was found in a car with a male companion who was not a relative, in breach of strict Saudi law. The king also pardoned the male companion, the justice minister announced. The victim's identity has not been revealed but she has become known as "Qatif girl," after the Shiite-populated area of Al-Qatif in the Eastern Province from which she comes. In October 2006, a judge sentenced her to 90 lashes for being with the man -- a taboo in the conservative Muslim kingdom which imposes segregation of the sexes. She appealed against the sentence but despite her ordeal the court ruled that her punishment should be increased to 200 lashes and a six-month jail term. The judges decided to punish the girl further for "her attempt to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media," a court source told the English-language daily Arab News. The rapists were initially sentenced to one to five years in jail, but those terms were also toughened in November to between two and nine years. A rape conviction carries the death penalty in Saudi Arabia, but the court did not impose it due to the "lack of witnesses" and the "absence of confessions," the justice ministry said last month. The girl's husband praised the king for granting the pardon. "This fatherly care and noble gesture will help (in) lifting the emotional and psychological stress and suffering that our family has been enduring," the husband was quoted as saying on CNN television's website. "This is not something new because we know that the king was always generous in dealing with his people and the entire world," the husband said. "This week, we have two holidays to celebrate; the Eid and this great news of the pardon." King Abdullah's pardon came on the day that Muslims began the annual hajj pilgrimage as two million faithful set off from Mecca to the valley of Mina in Saudi Arabia. White House spokeswoman Dana Perino welcomed the pardon. "This is a decision that King Abdullah needed to make on behalf of Saudi Arabia, and we think it was the right one," she said. Bush expressed disappointment earlier this month at Saudi Arabia's lack of support for the rape victim, saying he would have been angry if his own daughter had endured such treatment. State Department spokesman Tom Casey said Washington hoped that the king's decision would discourage the Saudi courts from issuing such judgements again in the future. "We're very pleased by the decision that was taken by the king, and we certainly hope it will send a signal to the Saudi judiciary," he said. "I think that we would like to not see a repeat of cases like this. If the king's decision has an impact of that kind on the thinking of those in the Saudi judicial system, I think that would be a good thing." Casey said he was not aware of any specific US contacts with King Abdullah on the move, but added Washington had "made quite clear what our views were on this subject" through its embassy in Saudi Arabia and in its public statements. Women in oil-rich Saudi Arabia live under restrictions imposed by a rigid interpretation of Islam and stringent tradition. They must be covered from head to toe in public and are not permitted to drive. Furthermore, they need a "mahram" or a guardian -- a husband or close male relative if they are widowed or single -- in order to apply for and obtain a passport. Political constraints also mean that Saudi women are totally absent from the Shura (consultative) Council, whose members are appointed by the king, and were barred from landmark municipal elections in 2005. While i am glad the woman escaped punishment for her being GANG RAPED i fail to see there is anything to applaud as her attacker/s were pardoned as well. This womans pardon and the Teddy Bear teacher Pardon, lets all witness the mercy of Islam. It's like throwing another log on the fire,so warming isn't it?
Hamas on Saturday marked its 20th anniversary by vowing to continue the "jihad" against Israel and never recognize its right to exist. Dis they just say Jihad? They are inner struggleing not to recognize Israel and thats done with rockets and suicide belts? How magical. Tens of thousands of Palestinians participated in a main rally organized by Hamas in the center of Gaza City in what was seen as one of the movement's biggest shows of force. All peed off because Fatah is getting the 500 million. They get HamAss and that means butt kickings and forced following. Shouting, "We won't recognize Israel," the Hamas supporters burned Israeli flags and chanted slogans against the US. Hmmm, how much moolah do you suppose they waste on burning Infidel nations flags.I keep hearing about Palestinian trade bit i haven't figured out what it is they trade.Who works to create anything to trade, and why doesn't the other Islamic Nations buy stuff from them? The rally was held in the same square where thousands of Fatah supporters attended a memorial for Yasser Arafat last month. Hamas officials estimated that nearly 250,000 Palestinians participated in the rally as opposed to less than 50,000 who showed up for the Arafat event. My crowd of zombies is bigger than yours.I can hear fatah saying Yea but we are getting 500 million dollars. Now you see the veins bulging in HamAss's forehead. By the way didn't HamAss attack the Fatah gathering over Arafats wing ding? Thanks for bringing that up sir. Fatah representatives claimed that the Hamas rally was a "failure" because of the "small" number of participants. Of course it was a failure you are the other side of the same coin, yep small turn out....sheesh. "This is Hamas's poorest performance since 1997," said Fatah spokesman Jamal Nazzal. "Hamas threatened to cut off the salary [of] and beat any activist who does not bring his family members to the rally. Despite that, they were unable to fill the square, and there were many empty chairs." Cut off the salary of ACTIVISTS? Oh so that is what they trade in.That must be the rage that goes on here in the West.I get it now.So 500 million is going to buy us more imported activists against our way of life? Hmmm. The rally came amid increased tensions between Hamas and Fatah following the arrest of two senior Fatah figures in the Gaza Strip. Well you know how the spy game is played. One can never be too careful, especially if they uncover your spies.I wish my mind worked over time with suspicion so the world could fel sorry for me. One of them, Omar Ghul, is a special adviser to PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayad. He was arrested shortly after returning to the Gaza Strip from Ramallah to participate in the funeral of his mother-in-law. Very suspicious indeed, or is it that Palestinians aren't allowed in Palestinians banned by Palestinians? (puts finger inbetween lips and moves up and down while twirling eyes) Hamas said Ghul was arrested after he entered the Gaza Strip through the Erez border crossing in disguise. The second man who was arrested was Ismail Abu Naja, a former deputy speaker of the Palestinian parliament. Abu Naja was arrested after holding a press conference in Gaza City at which he accused Hamas of killing three Palestinians during a funeral on Friday. So HamAss arresting mischief makers who just happen to be politicians of the opposing party is okay, thats cleaning out the corruption. But Israel going over to arrest them for incitement, murder and who knows what else is just moraly wrong. The three were killed by an explosive device that apparently went off accidentally during the funeral of Islamic Jihad members who had been killed a day earlier in an Israeli attack. Laurel meets Hardy in Palestine, what a black and white feature film that would make.Ohhh Ollie....Ohhhh stanley....Boooom.Did the bomb go off before or after the raining down of the bullets fired into the air.Sheesh, crack me up!!! Abu Naja and many Fatah officials in Ramallah were quick to blame Hamas for the explosion, saying it was a deliberate attack on civilians. Oh my my do i even want to go there? How dare they kill innocent civilians, well muslim civilians.Hmmm, palestinians killing Palestinians? Blame it on the jooooos thats the ticket. The Palestinian security forces in the West Bank banned Hamas celebrations by deploying hundreds of policemen in main cities and removing all Hamas-affiliated graffiti and flags. Wrong side of the tracks fellas, either join up or get back to your appointed space. And take your flags and crayons with you. An eye for an eye is soooo painful to watch. Several Hamas figures were summoned to the Palestinian security forces and warned not to hold any events marking the Hamas anniversary. Hamas said 26 of its followers were arrested over the weekend in the West Bank by Fatah-controlled forces. Summoned? How do they summon i wonder? Think those 26 had thier beards shaved?Oh the humiliation.Call the U.N. and rights groups.Oh the humanity. "The IDF's withdrawal from Gaza will be nothing like its invasion, the Strip will become a graveyard for its troops," Hamas legislator Mushir al-Masri warned Saturday in his chilling opening address at the Gaza rally. Ha Ha this turd will be the first to hide under the nearest rock.Do you ever hear these guys talk about anything else? I mean my god how pathetic.Israel can b17ch slap these punks anytime it wishes, and without much effort because all these standing in thier brave little or large crowd whichever the truth is,would run and hide behind the first female and child. I reapeat,How pathetic. "Jews... we have already dug your graves," exclaimed Masri. A bit racist don't you think, genocidal. I thought it wasn't the Jews they were wanting to murder but the Zionists.I thought there was a difference? At least thats what they say.Of course all we have to do is catch the headlines tomorrow to find out how we took the threat out of context. You know us ignorant and backward hillbilly Westerners. Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said his movement would pursue the "resistance" as the only option to "liberate Palestine." He said the large turnout was an indication of the increased number of Palestinians who believed in Hamas and didn't accept Israel's right to exist. That large turnout proves every da^n thing i have been saying about palesistinians killing palestinians because destroying Israel and murdering and killing are all that fall fromthe lips of the loser leaders.Give 'em some mo money! Haniyeh pointed out that those who believe in the "resistance" and the concept that "Islam is the solution" have scored a number of victories over the past few years: the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000, the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005, the abduction of IDF Cpl. Gilad Schalit in 2006 and the beginning of the "defeat" of the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan this year. Getting high on your own supply bub?Ha Ha...too funny really,i mean really. That is what he considers victory? What a comedian.Israel didn't want to be in Lebanon anymore. They withdrew from Gaza as a show of wanting peace, which all they got were more rockets, thanks again for bringing more truth out into the open jerk.As far as Schalit goes well lets just start a conversation about the Palestinian tactics.I believe we will start with terrorism.Oh and by the way Israel is so much better than you because they have released thousands of prisoners who DESERVE to be locked away for the rest of thier lives. You KIDNAP an innocent person defending his home from murderers ,rapists and thieves and you act like you won a victory? You are a joke.I would laugh in your face if i knew which rock you hide under. Haniyeh said that "Whoever insists on not recognizing Israel, clings to Allah and doesn't surrender in the face of the Israeli and US blockade, his popularity grows despite American hostility." "As long as the Israeli oppression grows, so will his popularity." Yep,especially with a gun to thier backs until they are suffeciently brainwashed into believeing your and your texts hooey. Why don't you just say it I am a HERO. Ha Ha,laughable. Top Hamas official Osama al-Mazini told the crowd that Israel was afraid to invade the Gaza Strip to stop the rocket and mortar attacks on its cities. Yep,thats it.they are afraid of you. Thanks for blatantly admitting that you attack thier cities with rockets and mortars. What would your designated targets be by the way? could you please elaborate?Come on hero, lion and martyr you can tell us.Be brave. "Had they not been afraid of your resistance, the Israelis would have invaded the Gaza Strip a long time ago," he said. "But the Israeli enemy are cowards and the only language they understand is the language of force." He said Hamas had chosen jihad (holy war) as its strategy and would not change its policy under any circumstances. My,My the inner struggle has evolved.I think inner struggle is whats left of that brave martyr that blows himself up.here though it's war,by people who don't have two nickles to rub together because all they have waged for sixty years is war. What again was this trade that is being hampered by Israels defenses? Oh yes radicalism. Referring to the case of Gilad Schalit, the Hamas official said the soldier would "never see the light until all Palestinian prisoners are released from Israeli jails." Mazini said Hamas would never recognize Israel or give up Palestinian rights, including the "right of return" for Palestinian refugees. Well at least he is honest enough to admit that one Isareli, one Jew,is worth thousands of Palestinians.I highly doubt that Schalit is alive. There are others that have been captured and have been missing for over 9,000 days.I think ......nah never mind that wouldn't be proper for me to write at this time. It's too islamic. The Hamas official launched a scathing attack on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah faction, accusing them of "selling themselves to the Americans and agreeing to serve as guards for Israeli occupation." However, he reiterated Hamas's readiness to engage in dialogue with Fatah to solve the current crisis. Hamas, he added, "never thought of opening fire at Fatah." He said that, in any case, Hamas would not allow Fatah to bring anarchy and lawlessness back to the Gaza Strip. HAH,the HamAss hero was just the other day begging for nickles and dimes.Of course you are prepared for dialogue with fatah...they are going to get 500 million smackers. All those things you mentioned above makes you the hero but hey a little mean green gets you a little more respect,am i right? Syria-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal threatened during a televised speech to launch a "third and fourth intifada" against Israel. He added that his movement had a lot of patience "despite the ongoing conspiracies and the blockade against the Gaza Strip." He, too, said one of Hamas's biggest achievements was to "expel" Israel from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Now we see where the hero of HamAss gets his dope and they both get high on thier own supply.Third and fourth intifada? LOL....real heroes launch wars. These guys use piss ant gang land style drive bys,or blow up bys, kill innocent people whether it's thiers or someone elses. As long as there is blood and carnage they write it down as a victory, from under thier rocks of course. Mashaal claimed that Israel was using the recent peace conference in Annapolis as a cover for launching a "massive aggression" against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. He also claimed that the US-sponsored conference had given Abbas a green light to "dismantle resistance groups in the West Bank." Well thanks for pointing out that Israel will be lauching a mission once again to try and end the rocket attacks on it's Country, but why so worried? HamAss just stated they have thier graves dug already, isn't that what you want? If i am not mistaken our policy is to NOT deal with terrorists."Resistance" groups who use terrorism as a method of fighting ,and i use that term loosely, very loosely,is still a terrorist group. If i were in charge there would be NO discussion of any kind until they wre ALL dismantled, otherwise the only other discussion would be Palestines complete and total surrender to Israel and all terroists dealt with. We are going to see how many Palestinians lives will be lost over 500 million dollars, taken by Palestinians.Go on blame the Jews and live an ignorant life.Line right up to the crocodile PLEASE!! http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1196847343673&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull
U.S. to pledge 500 Million to P.A........("B.S.") The United States will pledge about $500 million for the Palestinian Authority government in the West Bank when Arab, European and other nations meet next week, US officials said Friday. The money would go toward a goal of $5.6 billion that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair hopes to raise to rescue the tattered Palestinian economy and reinforce institutions that would become the backbone of any eventual independent Palestinian state. ( Uhhhh..."Eventual" Independent Palestinian State? As long as we keep handing them hundreds of millions of dollars and continue asking Israel to do all the appeasing there will never be an "eventual" Independent Palestinian State. What nonsense. Still rewarding Palestine for doing absolutely nothing in the way of peace. I guess this administration is going to do as the past administrations have done and that is buy a page in history. Good luck with that by the way.) Secretary of stae Condoleezza Rice will deliver the pledge at a conference Blair has called Monday in Paris, the officials said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the figure has not been announced and might be changed slightly. ( yes ,yes the anonymity, call a press conference to discuss that which you can't discuss.Perfect plan ,now no one can take the blame for whatever is about to go wrong or for the grumbling of the people who will just have to get over that which they have never agreed with and nver will. Makes sense. Now you can certainly say you did not say that.) The money is part of world efforts to improve the Palestinians' financial position as new US-sponsored peace talks begin. ( World efforts you say? And just exactly who are all these donors again? Over how many years was that?) Rice cannot promise that she can deliver on the pledge, which must be approved by the US Congress. The money includes about $400 million that the White House has already announced, but that has not been approved by Congress. ( Hmmm.... Of course she can't promise, the opposition haven't gotten what thier hearts desire is......yet. let them close the door and talk and see whats left to sell out.) Some members of Congress are worried that money spent to strengthen the West Bank eventually could benefit a rival radical-led government in the other, separate, Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip. Other legislators want greater assurance that the West Bank government has shed its long reputation for corruption and cronyism. (HAH...excuse me while i laugh my arse off. Do these jokers live in a bubble or what? Nothing has changed. Abbas has stated RIGHT AFTER ANNOPOLIS that nothing has changed.....HamAss has never even bothered to pretend anything has changed.Just begged for money. Why doesn't he beg Saudi arabia or JORDAN for money? Refreakingdiculous) Rice will meet Sunday with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad to discuss the pledge. Fayyad is a Banker whose clean reputation and efforts to reform the government are often praised by the Bush administration. ( I'm sure he is just spotless. And being a BANKER well that just clenches the deal. Are you sure 500 million is enough?Lets see what would the bankers cut of 500 million dollars be? An honest and spotless one at that.) Fayyad is expected to raise Palestinian frustration that he has been unable to win assurances from Israel that it will ease stifling restrictions on Palestinian movement. ( HAH...laugh riot. After the Annapolis meeting Fatah members even stood with what HamAss said about never recognizing Israel, which translates into Israel must die. Yet Israel is supposed to just let them wander around and come and go as they please. What a joke. Palestinains are "frustrated",more like hate filled, that THIER chosen enemy won't give them the chance to kill them.Do you ever hear of anyone speaking about what Palestine has done to earn the easing of the Israeli defenses? NO? Hmmmm? Perhaps more rockets would convince them.) The World Bank has warned that unless Israel removes some of the physical and administrative obstacles to Palestinian travel and trade, donor countries may be wasting their money. ( Nooooo!! We may be wasting our money because Israel won't drop it's guard? These people should be comedians.I would still throw rotten fruit at thier behinds.By the way...Travel and Trade? Travel to where? I don't want to buy them a ticket to my country and i don't know what it would be that they have to trade.....more culture?) Even if the donors pay the full amount, the Palestinian economy would keep shrinking by about 2 percent a year as long as the Israeli restrictions remain in place, the World Bank wrote in a report issued Thursday. ( Because when there were no restrictions the Palestinians were a prosperous people. As long as the caravans kept running on time.) The IDF has been reluctant to remove some of the hundreds of roadblocks and barr |
