A Million Muslim Petition is Launched to Intimidate a PalTalk Anti-Islam Chat Room

Our colleague Joseph Shahda has, in his monitoring of terrorist websites, uncovered a real shocker. On the Ekhlaas terrorist website there is a drive calling on fellow Islamists to sign a petition demanding that PalTalk shut down a site the Islamists find offensive to Islam.

What is shocking is that these very Islamists – who use the Internet to recruit jihadists, to spread hate, and to incite violence and terror – now have the gall to demand that a website that takes issue with their ideology of terror should be shut down! Americans must awaken to the fact that we face an implacable foe, an enemy that cannot be reasoned with, who sees the world in only one way — a world where Allah and Islam reign supreme, a world where all unbelievers must be converted, conquered or killed.

Stay tuned in the days and weeks to come for information regarding how ACT! for America plans to take action in this arena of cyberspace jihad.

On January 6 2008 the Ekhlaas terrorist forum, the largest terrorist forum on the internet, posted a thread asking the members of the forum to sign a petition to be sent to Paltalk.com asking them to shut down a chat room that they accuse of being anti-Muslim. According to Ekhlaas terrorist forum, the Muslim activists were able to gather over one million signatures for the petition to close the PalTalk chat room that they claim to be anti-Muslim. According to the terrorist forum PalTalk told the petitioners to gather one million signature and they will shut the room that they are asking to be shut.

Cordless Bungee Jumping—Shari'a-style

As noted today in Pajamas Media, notwithstanding flashy headlines extolling Shari’a finance (Islamic banking) and Wall Street bankers jumping into the market, investing or participating in shari'a finance is akin to bungee jumping without a cord—or following lemmings over a cliff.

But the banking industry has a short memory. In 1955, Citibank established the Saudi American Bank in Jeddah and added a Riyadh branch in 1966. But on February 12, 1980, Saudi Arabia confiscated Citibank's business by royal decree, changed its name to Samba, and forced America's premier bank to accept a subservient role, staffing its old bank—with a promise not to take any profits.

Yet, Shari’a is “the path of Allah,” Nizam Yaquby told October conference-goers--although the purportedly “ethical” and “socially responsible” investing supports neither environmentalism nor “renewable” growth.

A 20th century construct, without basis in Islamic history, it often funds destruction. This “invented tradition” empowers Islamic radicals, writes USC King Faisal Professor of Islamic Thought, Timur Kuran, in Islam and Mammon: “Neither classical nor medieval Islamic civilization featured banks in the modern sense, let alone ‘Islamic’ banks...”

Consider its downside risks.

With 19.99% of Nasdaq in hand, Bourse Dubai, the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX) parent—certified for “Islamic ‘purity’” by Bahrain’s Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAIOFI)—now plans to “rebrand” America’s international over-the-counter market as Nasdaq-DIFX.

What does this mean for presumably “unIslamic” Nasdaq companies (like Israeli generic drug giant, Teva)? Supposedly, Bourse Dubai will be “restricted to 5 percent voting rights” in Nasdaq. But in anticipation of Nasdaq-DIFX’s “rebranding,” DIFX named four new board members.

Boards of directors generally call the shots.

Meanwhile, Citgroup is receiving a second-generation, $7.5 billion Islamic-cash-bailout from the ultra-conservative United Arab Emirates (UAE) sheikdom, Abu Dhabi.

Its initial, 1991 Islamic-rescue followed billions in bad loans, single-quarter losses of $855 million, and U.S. Federal Reserve Board concerns about Citibank’s potential failure.

Suddenly, Citi’s then-Middle East business chief, Shaukat Aziz—fresh from seven years in Riyadh running Citi's confiscated bank, and hobnobbing with Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal—convinced the latter to trade $600 million for shareholder-rights, Bangladesh’s Depardes reported in June 2004. 1 He now has 3.6%. Aziz later headed Citicorp Islamic Bank, and maybe initiated Citi’s supposedly prospering Shari’a finance business.

But who controls whom? Today, doubling as Pakistan’s Finance and Prime Ministers, Aziz supports “Shariah compliant banking,” which the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in 2005 strategically planned to promote “as a parallel system.” He’s discussed its potential with Bahraini Bank Alsalam CEO, Yousif Taqi.

Likewise, bin Talal wants to dominate U.S. businesses. Rather than boycott, “Arabs...stand more to benefit from maintaining trade ties with the US because the trade balance … is in our favor,” he told Saudi Arabia’s Arab News daily on May 1, 2002.

Both men’s ideas fit the 1928 cloth of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna, whose disciples tailor-made it into shari’a finance—specifically to supersede Western banks, markets and democracies through “parallel economic” and financial institutions. It rests on shari’a—the 7th Century Qur’anic legal code developed by Mohammed’s followers—which clerics consider one, indivisible package, by definition seeking global Islamic supremacy and law.

With wife-beating, stoning women, dismembering thieves, hanging homosexuals, supremacist ideology and an annual head tax (jizya) on non-Muslim subjects—shari’a also commands Muslims to fund jihad (financial jihad—al Jihad bi-al-Mal). As in Qur’an 61:10-11, “strive for the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives...” and Qur’an 49:15. “Financial Jihad [is]…more important...than self-sacrificing,” says Saudi cleric and Muslim Brother Hamud bin Uqla al-Shuaibi.

The 1982 Muslim Brotherhood document, “Towards a Worldwide Strategy for Islamic Policy”—discovered by Swiss police in November 2001 and known as the Project—maps al-Banna’s plan. His successors, and author MB spiritual leader Yusuf Qaradawi, Swiss authorities say, order Muslims to engage “economic institutions adequate to support the cause financially” in directives covering roughly 14 pages, headlined “departure points.”

Elsewhere, Qaradawi decrees, “holy war…is an Islamic duty... [F]ighting…is the Way of Allah for which zakat must be spent.” His 1999 “Fiqh az-Zakat” describes the “most deserving” zakat and jihad, “...to rebuild Islamic society and state and to implement the Islamic way of life in the political, cultural and economic domains.”

Itself now partly owned by bin Talal, the Wall Street Journal in November 2007 ironically noted the tragedy that bad management and “blundering U.S. monetary policy” had again left Citigroup prey to Arab sheiks. Citi got its cash transfusion by granting “only” a 4.9% “minority stake”—and no board seats—magically for 0.1% under the 5% necessitating U.S. Federal Reserve Board approval.

The Fed should intervene anyway—given the avid and ongoing, apparent UAE observance of zakat and jihad directives from Muslim Brotherhood leaders like Qaradawi:

• The UAE banks wired most of the funds for the 9/11 attacks.
• In 2006, UAE donated $100 million to house Palestinian Authority prisoners and suicide bombers’ families, named for the late father of the current UAE president, who over 30 years donated millions to PLO, Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror.
• Hamas in July 2005, thanked Al-Nahayan’s “sisterly UAE” for its “limitless [financial] support...,” and “aid for our Mujahid,” in other words, Hamas jihadist “charitable societies.”
• The Palestinian Authority in May 2005 itemized millions of additional UAE U.S.-dollar aid, including $3 million paid directly to the Al Aqsa Intifada Fund.
• UAE president Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahayan’s late, terror-financier father also “owned the infamous [global] Bank of Commerce and Credit International” (BCCI)—which bilked depositors of billions before being shuttered in 1991; funded terrorist groups, states and projects like Hezbollah, al Qaeda, Syria, Iran and Pakistani nuclear bomb manufacturing; and was created “to help the world of Islam, and [as] the best way to fight the evil influence of the Zionists,” as noted by Rachel Ehrenfeld in Evil Money (Harper Collins, 1992, pp. 160, 164-5, 169-70).
• In October 2007, Dubai violated World Trade Organization (WTO) rules—banning the Israelis from the Federation of International Freight Forwarders and Customs Clearing Agents world congress. Dubai Ports World and its government holding company prohibit trade with Israel.
• In 2003, the UAE established a federal agency specifically to collect zakat on government tax revenues from “companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market and Abu Dhabi Securities Market... oil-producing companies and branches of foreign banks,” obviously including U.S. oil companies and banks. This year alone, the UAE zakat tax agency collected an estimated $13.5 billion.

You may recall a few weeks ago we emailed you regarding CAIR’s (Council for American-Islamic Relations) attempt to pressure companies to pull their advertising from Michael Savage’s syndicated radio program.

Since then, Savage has filed suit against CAIR, and the latest news is...

One for Savage, zero for CAIR

Take away their deceitful props and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is like all other big-talking bullies: pathetic, sniveling and alone.

In going after top rated radio talk show host Michael Savage, CAIR trotted out a list of advertisers they laid claim to scaring off from advertising on Savage Nation.

When the dust settled, it was all CAIR braying brouhaha.

Several of the companies CAIR loudly cited in their so-called boycott campaign say they don’t know what the Islamic lobby group is talking about.

In their own defiant words, announcing that Universal Orlando Resorts had joined their Savage Nation advertising boycott, CAIR recently stated: “Advertisers that have already stopped airing or refuse to air commercials on Savage Nation include AutoZone, Citrix TrustedID, JCPenney, OfficeMax, Wal-Mart and AT&T.”

Going out on the hunt, investigative Internet giant WorldNetDaily caught CAIR in an embarrassing position.

...”But now AutoZone has told WND the CAIR campaign had nothing to do with its advertising decision, and it had chosen not to advertise on any radio talk shows—of all parts of the spectrum—years before the CAIR effort.” (WND, Dec. 11, 2007).

Taking the cowardly way out, CAIR officials declined to respond to WND inquiries about why it is listing companies as part of its boycott campaign that they say have not participated in the boycott.

CAIR didn’t know that a lot more than bluster is needed to sustain a boycott.

“Another major company CAIR claims has joined the boycott of Michael Savage is JCPenney. But as with AutoZone, JCPenney officials told WND readers they were not making any special provision in their advertising policy that would make them part of a protest campaign, but officials did not respond directly to WND inquiries.

“JCPenney did not `pull’ advertising from the show. JCPenney has had a long-standing policy about not advertising on any show that can be construed as controversial. An error in upholding this policy was made by a few local stations, and it has now been clarified,” the company told a WND reader.

Wal-Mart admits that it has asked radio networks to ensure that Wal-Mart ads do not run in programming “that we deem controversial” and is sending out content guideline reminders to radio networks and stations, according to that company.
(Too bad Wal-Mart shoppers couldn’t have the same protection against-Mart products from China before the latest recalls.)

While companies cited in the boycott like AutoZone and JCPenney have removed themselves as CAIR props, CAIR still faces a Michael Savage lawsuit over its alleged misappropriation of Savage’s radio broadcast material. In the lawsuit, which has garnered huge public support, the mince-no-words Savage depicts CAIR as a “vehicle of international terrorism.”

Savage’s lawsuit alleges copyright infringement by CAIR, which the lawsuit says seeks to do “material harm to those voices who speak against the violent agenda of CAIR’s clients.”

Filed in U.S. District Court in California, the suit seeks damages equal to the ongoing donations from CAIR supporters “who expect CAIR to act in this manner in exchange for continuing financial support” as well as “actual damages according to proof.”

Judging by scores of letters to Canada Free Press whose anti-CAIR stories were posted to the Michael Savage website, legions of people are already boycotting companies—at least two of which we now know were only used by CAIR as props.

Meanwhile mark that 1 for Michael Savage and zero for the world’s largest, George Soros and Media Matters-supported Islamic lobby group.

And with the wings already pulled off this always-buzzing blue-bottle housefly, it’s going to be difficult for it to fly away and land elsewhere any time soon.

The DC-based Peace and Justice Foundation has a shockingly wide range of friends, from terrorists in the Middle East to powerful backers on Capitol Hill. Patrick Poole zeroes in on one particularly loyal friend.

Why is a powerful congressman trying to pave the way for terror-linked speakers to appear on Capitol Hill?

That's the question that comes to mind following the abrupt cancellation of the Muslim Mobilization Conference by the US House of Representatives Sergeant-at-Arms. The event, originally scheduled for August 11, would have taken place in the Cannon House Building Caucus Room had it not been for the last minute discovery of the terror-linked speakers that the DC-based Peace and Justice Foundation had invited to participate.

However the organization is claiming that Congressman Gregory Meeks, who initially helped organize the event, is actively working with them to reschedule, notwithstanding the organization's public defense of several global terrorist organizations and two notorious cop killers. And a review of the Peace and Justice Foundation's corporate documents shows that the group has been operating illegally for nearly a decade without any accountability whatsoever for funds it has raised for a wide variety of extremist causes.

According to an article in The Muslim Link, the scheduling of the August conference had been handled by the chief-of-staff for Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY6), Jameel Alim Johnson. Only after the Sergeant-at-Arms contacted Congressman Meeks directly and discovered that he would not be attending was the group told the event would not be permitted in congressional facilities. The conference was held the following day at a local DC-area mosque.

As a result of that decision, accusations of Islamophobia and censorship were immediately made by the conference organizers and speakers. Even Jameel Johnson of Congressman Meeks' office said in an email, reported by Final Call, that "this certainly seemed to me to be the red-flagging of a Muslim group. For the Sergeant-at-Arms to call out of the blue on the last day to make sure (Rep. Meeks) is going to be there and is sponsoring the function is unusual and unfair."

But an investigation by Pajamas Media has discovered a host of troubling accusations regarding the Peace and Justice Foundation and its leader, Mauri Saalakhan. Perhaps the most troubling are his enthusiastic, public support for designated terrorist organizations and convicted terrorists, and his efforts on behalf of convicted cop killer Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin.

These multiple ties to terrorist organizations and operatives raise questions about the continued assistance offered to the group by Congressman Meeks, who holds positions on the powerful House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs Committees. He is also active with the Congressional Black Caucus. This reporter spoke with Meeks spokeswoman Candace Sandy, but neither she nor the DC or District Congressional offices for Rep. Meeks would return repeated calls asking for comment on his relationship with Mauri Saalakhan and the Peace and Justice Foundation.

One of the scheduled speakers for the Capitol Hill Muslim Mobilization Conference was Anisa Abd El Fattah, a longtime former employee and past president of the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), which one convicted terrorist leader described as "the political command for HAMAS in the United States." The organization was one of the US-based organizations found liable in a $156 million federal court judgment in the death of an American teenager killed in a Hamas suicide attack in Israel.

Fattah was the subject of a recent Pajamas Media article describing her covert attempts to be appointed to the Columbus (OH) Public School Board. Fattah has also co-authored two books with the current spokesman for Hamas, Ahmed Yousef, and was a longtime consultant to terrorist leader Abdurahman Alamoudi. Alamoudi was convicted of conspiring with the Libyan government to kill Crown Prince Abdullah, the Saudi royal heir at the time and now the king of Saudi Arabia.

After the Capitol Hill event was canceled, another scheduled speaker at the conference, Abukar Arman, promptly scheduled a similar event at the Ohio Statehouse on October 28 with many of the same speakers. These included Anisa Abd El Fattah. This reporter was the first to report on the Ohio Statehouse event, as well as the public financing that paid for the event, noting that the previous conference in August in Washington, D.C., with approximately the same set of speakers, had been cancelled because of their extremism and terror connections.

Those reports prompted a published response from the Peace and Justice Foundation. In an open letter to the Ohio event's organizers penned by Mauri Saalakhan, this reporter was attacked and numerous terrorist organizations and terrorist leaders were defended:

In addition to the aforementioned individuals and organizations, Mr. Poole also attacked a number of others who I've come to know only through careful research, in my capacity as an advocate with a Metropolitan Washington-based human rights organization - individuals and organizations such as Fawaz Damra, Sami Al-Arian, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, Mousa abu Marzook, the World Islam and Studies Enterprise (WISE), HAMAS, the Muslim Brotherhood, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda.

A quick review of the "others" that Saalakhan had "come to know" is appropriate:

• Fawaz Damra - convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad fundraiser, deported earlier this year;

• Sami Al-Arian - convicted North American Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader, currently in federal prison for reneging on his plea deal to testify against his terror-supporting co-conspirators;

• Sheikh Ahmed Yasin - founder of the terrorist group HAMAS, assassinated by Israel in March 2004;

• Mousa Abu Marzook - HAMAS deputy political leader, former HAMAS North American fundraiser, deported by the US government.

In his open letter, he defends each of these terrorist leaders in detail. Additionally, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and al-Qaeda are all well-known US-designated global terrorist organizations. Moreover, the Muslim Brotherhood is the oldest and largest purveyor of jihadist ideology, as well as the incubator for virtually every single Islamic terrorist organization in the world today.

Saalakhan also rose to the defense of current Hamas spokesman Ahmed Yousef, identifying him as a "moderate" and a longtime personal associate. He failed to note that Yousef fled the country in 2005 to avoid prosecution in the Fawaz Damra trial, after which he immediately reappeared as a top Hamas official:

Dr. Ahmed Yusuf is not an "extremist." He is a deeply committed and caring Palestinian activist; someone who is routinely described by those who know him as a "moderate" - and someone who is understandably committed to the liberation of his people. As one of the principle founders of UASR, I always found him to be genuinely committed to dialogue and peaceful resolution whenever possible. (And I've known Dr. Yousef for many years.)

Also in Saalakhan's open letter, he states that his organization had met with Rep. Meeks and is working with his congressional office to reschedule the canceled Capitol Hill conference:

The short of it is this. We have since met with the congressman; he apologized for the mishap and assured us that we will be able to plan the event again with his full knowledge and support.

If Congressman Meeks and his office staff are in fact continuing to assist Mauri Saalakhan and his Peace and Justice Foundation with Congressman Meeks' "full knowledge and support," perhaps they can also explain why they believe it is appropriate considering Saalakhan's ongoing efforts to promote the cause of convicted cop killers Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin and Mumia Abu Jamal.

In the case of Al-Amin, Saalakhan has published numerous articles in his defense, even though Al-Amin was convicted on all charges by a Georgia jury and was identified as the shooter by the partner of the murdered police officer, who was also severely injured in the attack. The weapons used in the ambush of the officers were recovered at the time of Al-Amin's arrest.

Saalakhan has also published a number of articles in defense of the following convicted terrorists: Zacarias Moussaoui (the "20th 9/11 hijacker"); Abdurahman Alamoudi (discussed earlier as a conspirator in the plot to kill Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah); Jose Padilla (al-Qaeda "dirty bomber"); the "blind sheikh" Omar Abdel Rahman (currently serving life plus 70 years for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing); and the members of the Northern Virginia Jihad Network.

Mauri Saalakhan has even come under fire from segments of the Muslim community, such as New Trend Magazine, for failing to disclose the details of the funds he has raised in his various activities, particularly the extensive fundraising he conducted all over the country in support of Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin's defense.
